David Akers

Hello, my name is David Akers. I am a realtor at Sutton Group West Coast Realty in Abbotsford B.C. In addition to being a realtor, I am also a family man with a beautiful wife and daughter. 

Growing up in Abbotsford I was involved in many sports such as soccer, baseball, football, and rugby. Through these sports I was able to develop many lifelong relationships which have continued to grow and prosper throughout my life. 

From the time I was young, I was a lover of the outdoors. I have always taken the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful landscape in which we have been blessed with while living in the lower mainland. I currently spend my leisure time hiking, snowboarding, mountain biking, fishing, golfing, and camping. My favorite activity among those listed is going camping with my family. We love to get away from all the distractions of life and spend time focusing on each other and creating memories to last a lifetime. 

I got into real estate through working with my dad building homes as a young man. I worked for my father during my summers as a youth as well as in my early adult life. I observed how important the work we did was and loved how we got to be a part of people’s dreams being turned into a reality. Watching people as they moved into the homes which they worked so hard for was an inspiring thing to witness. 

Through an unfortunate injury, I eventually had to change my career path. However, I still wanted to be a part of the process of helping people realize their dreams. Through real estate, I have been able to remain doing something I love while having the opportunity to help many more families per year reach their goals. I am passionate about life and love what I do. I would love to help you turn your dreams into a reality!
